Tu B’Shevat on the Adriatic

There’s an enchanting city by the sea
Round, big square, palazzos and me
In my mind I see the whimsical waves sway
Early morning, the Sinagoga bathed in sun’s ray
Shabbat Shira, up the hill — kids feeding the birds
Tu B’Shevat in the schoolyard, planting roses and herbs
Enjoying Italian prayers and melodies
Carrying inside me always these memories
